What does the Directional Light simulate? 

The Directional Light object simulates the sun in a Scene built in the 3D Template. You can move and rotate the Directional Light to indicate a time of day or create a mood in your Scene. 

Think of the Main Camera like a camera for a video you are shooting. You will position and configure the Main Camera to display what you are creating. 

GameObjects are the fundamental elements of any Scene in Unity, whether it is 2D or 3D. Although “game” is in the name, they are used in every Scene, even if the project is not a game.

The Project window is a list of the assets available to (but not necessarily in) your project, which can become GameObjects if you bring them into a Scene. 

Primitives are the basic 3D shapes built-in to the Unity Editor. They are useful when you want to create a GameObject quickly and easily.

Any 2D GameObject is a Sprite. Frequently, Sprites are created from image files, but not every image file is used as a Sprite; for example, images are also used to make Materials. 

 You can add a GameObject to a Scene by dragging it from where? 

The Project window shows you assets that are available to be included in your Scene, but they are not in your Scene until you bring them into it. The Hierarchy window shows you what is already in the Scene, and the Inspector shows you information about the GameObject selected in the Scene. You can use the file explorer to import assets into the Project window, but not to bring them directly into the Scene. 

What is one way to make a GameObject a child of another GameObject? 

The Hierarchy window shows you the hierarchy of the parent-child relationships of the GameObjects in the Scene. You can change these relationships by moving them in the Hierarchy. 

Which component allows you to move, scale, and rotate GameObjects? 

Transform is the name of the component that allows you to move, scale and rotate. These operations are considered transforms of a GameObject. 

A component is a set of properties and behaviors of a GameObject. You will use many types of components to control the way a GameObject looks and moves in your project. 

The Console window’s primary purpose is to display messages generated by scripts.
