This module will guide you through the essential steps to create, configure, and optimize a Unity project for your specific workflow. Whether you're working with real-time visualization, simulations, or interactive environments, setting up your project correctly ensures efficiency, organization, and performance optimization from the start.

Module 2: Setting Up a Unity Project

In this module, you’ll get a hands-on introduction to Unity’s interface, learning how to navigate, customize, and efficiently work within the editor. Understanding how to use key windows like the Scene View, Game View, Hierarchy, Project, and Inspector will set the foundation for a smooth and productive workflow.

Module 3: Navigating the Unity Editor

GameObjects and Scenes are the core building blocks of any Unity project. In this module, you’ll learn how to create, modify, and organize GameObjects, structure your scenes effectively, and apply essential transformations like moving, rotating, and scaling objects. You’ll learn how to set up a scene, arrange 3D models, apply materials, adjust lighting, and create a functional showroom that displays assets in an interactive environment.

This course consists of a mixture of 10 hours of video content and self-directed work. The material is intended for those who are new to Unity. 

  This course is structured as a series of modules that contain:

 to check your understanding of key concepts and workflows

 that allow you to practice your newly acquired skills by using the downloadable project files

 To successfully complete this course, you need to achieve a passing score in all of the module-end assessments. Please provide your feedback and rate your experience by completing the survey at the end of the course. You will then be awarded a certificate of completion that you can download and print.
