Ocean Guardians is an interactive underwater AR face filter created to promote ocean conservation for middle school students (ages 11–13). The experience combines immersive visuals with educational messaging to make learning about marine life fun and engaging.

The filter transforms the user’s environment into an underwater scene with soft blue lighting, floating particles, and depth effects. Users can customize their look by selecting from five feature categories, each offering three different options:

• 3D Accessories: Coral Crown, Turtle Bubble Helmet, Shell Tiara

• Particle Effects: Bubbles, Bioluminescent Plankton, Mini Fish Swarm

• Face Textures: Turtle Pattern, Wave Paint, Clownfish Stripes

• Animated Animals: Dolphin, Whale, Friendly Octopus

• Environments: Healthy Reef, Clean Ocean, Polluted Ocean comparison

Each selection includes short conservation facts such as:

“Coral reefs support 25% of marine life.”

“Over 8 million tons of plastic enter the ocean every year.”
