This project showcases what I learned about implementing data persistence between scenes and game sessions in Unity.

The player enters their name into a text field in the Menu scene. The name is then stored in the DataManager object, which uses DontDestroyOnLoad() to carry information into the Main scene.

When the player beats the current high score, the MainManager script updates the score and the name of the player holding the record.

The DataManager script stores this information and uses the SaveData class to organize the values that need to be saved. By creating an instance using new SaveData(), the player's name and high score can be copied into that object.

Unity's JsonUtility.ToJson() converts the saved data into JSON format, and File.WriteAllText() writes it to a JSON file stored on the user's device.

When the game is opened again, LoadBestScore() reads the JSON file and restores the saved high score and player's name, allowing the record to persist between game sessions.
