QA, which stands for quality assurance, is a position that tests and assures the quality of software, websites, applications, programs, and more. A QA tester is the last line of defense between the consumer and a broken product. They're a vital part of a development team with a focus on uncovering bugs and issues to help fix and improve items before releasing to a customer or company. In completing the QA Tester Pathway, you will learn what QA testing is, the QA testing process, basics of the C# and how to analyze code, practice testing and analyzing your own code to help you learn the skills it takes to be a QA tester.
This pathway leverages Unity's popular Create with Code course and expands it by including development lifecycle and where and how QA plays a role. While this pathway will be game-centric and the coding language you will learn is C# the skills and competencies you learn in developing, testing and troubleshooting will be applicable to a wide-variety of QA testing roles. As you work through the pathway you will also create your own project and through building, troubleshooting and testing your project you will apply the coding and QA skills you learned to understand the development lifecycle and where and how QA plays a role. In addition to these core technical competencies, you will learn how to manage a project from start to finish: coming up with a concept, creating a project plan, prioritizing tasks, and hitting milestones.
