We know that video games are a powerful, important medium that are a huge part of people’s lives. Shouldn’t it be true then that, like other media, games should be created with the intention of impacting the people who play them? Of course it should! But it’s important to consider games as their own medium, and so the methods used to generate impact in games are specific to game design.
