Overview
Summary
Clive the Cat is a Sokoban-style game. Clive wants his food dish — but first he must navigate through his maze-like crypt, figure out how to open doors, and find ways to pass around various obstacles — even a fox!
In this project, you’ll develop several visual scripts to add a new level to the Clive the Cat game. Along the way, you’ll learn intermediate and advanced techniques in Visual Scripting including super units, events, and State Machines.
If you are unfamiliar with the user interface of Visual Scripting (formerly called Bolt), you can begin with the Introduction to Visual Scripting, even if you have never programmed before.
Project Objective
By the end of this course, you will be able to:
  • Convert the logic of several game mechanics into visual scripts.
  • Use super units to nest visual scripts and pass values.
  • Apply built-in and custom events in visual scripts.
  • Apply Graph, Object, and Scene variables in more advanced use cases.
  • Control events and behaviors of GameObjects with Visual Scripting State Machines.
