In this tutorial, you'll dive right into Struckd Studio! Whether it's starting a new project or working with one of the pre-built Templates, it's the quickest way to kickstart your game creation journey.
Languages available:
1. Opening Struckd Studio
Go to https://play.unity.com and access Struckd Studio in two different ways -
- In the top navigation bar, click on Studio or
- Click on the Struck Studio button on the banner that appears on Unity Play
If this is your first time opening Struckd Studio in your web browser, you'll be greeted by the Terms of Service screen. Fill this out and click Continue!
Once you've accepted the Terms of Service, you'll be at the Project screen!
2. Get Inspired!
Before building your own game, take a second to get inspired by the available Templates. Templates are pre-made games that available for you to play with and make your own! From the Project screen, find and follow the Templates link.
From the Templates page, you can pick one of 10 pre-made games for you to explore in and customize. We also recommend jumping into one of the templates to get used to navigating Struckd Studio!
Templates are a great way to get started quickly.
Once you pick a pre-made Template, you can jump right in and play/build!
3. Get Started!
Jumping into your own Struckd Studio game is as simple as -
- Finding and following the Create link in the left sidebar of the Project page or
- Clicking the + Blank Project button in the "Create New Game" section of the Project page
Follow the Create link or click the Blank Project button to begin!
When you create a new game, you'll be greeted by a blank sandbox! In the next tutorial, we'll talk about the tools you use create your game in Struckd!
