Unit 7 - Creative Challenge

In Unit 7, you learned about creating visual effects in Unity and adding audio to your Timeline. In this creative challenge, you’ll become the special effects artist and add your own effects to the story.

You’ll create your visual and sound effects in the Unit7_StarterFiles project, in the Unit7CreativeChallenge Scene. Your effects should include:

• Steam rising from the street grate.
• Sparks and smoke coming from one of the trash cans.
• You should include at least one new sound effect you import into Unity. Audio files can be imported into a project much like other files: either drag the audio file into the Project panel, or place the file in the Assets directory in the project. There are many websites where you can find sound effects that are public domain or licensed for non-commercial use.

For an additional challenge:

• Create snow falling in the Scene or add fireworks above the city (see Additional Learning for help).

Once you’ve completed your project, use the Recorder to create a daily in .mp4 format and upload it to our public gallery. If you are unable to submit a screenshot in this step, please make sure you are signed into Learn with your Unity ID.
