Do make sure you update the courses that still direct people to signing up for these groups too, otherwise they'll be hopelessly confused ;)

Hi GameBoyAdvanceSP, the groups functionality on Learn is largely duplicated by the Unity Forums, so we're closing them to better focus our resources.
Why are the Unity Learn groups being closed down?

As you are working through Unity Essentials Live, there's a lot to keep in mind. In order to help you out, we've created this reference guide covering hotkeys for moving around Unity. Additionally, there are a handful of handy terminology terms to help clear things up along the way.

We can't wait to see what you create!

Hi all! I'm Zachary and I live in Germany. I have practically no coding experience whatsoever, which is why I'm currently going through the unity essentials pathway, and eventually the others as well. I hope to make a basic first- person shooter within the next couple of months, and I'll definitely be using a lot of recourses and tutorials to try to get there. So far, the Unity Learn website has been tremendously helpful.

Hi everyone! My name is Swan. I'm a new grad with an MS degree in Computer Science (Career changer here!). I'm trying to build a portfolio to help with my job search. I grew up playing a lot of games and I love different genres! I'm Deaf myself so I hope to create a game with better Deaf representation. Maybe a cozy game with a strong story aspect that involves Deaf and Hearing characters! I only know Java, Python and JavaScript, but for my vision, I'm going to learn C# at my own pace. If anyone know any accessible resources, I'd really appreciate you sharing them with me! Unity - THANK you for helping our dreams come true!

Hello world! Nice to meet you all. I'm Reri and I'm from Italy. I have a degree in design but I did IT engineering years ago, a path that I dropped due to the quality of the school, which were not supporting women but quite the opposite. Now my health gave me a bit of trouble and I had to quit my main job, doing just tiny 2D and 3D commissions here and there. I also did some translations and game testing. I'm learning Unity, hoping to create a videogame and start a different journey that meets my health needs. I don't have a true base of C# but I will work hard. My goal is to make a relaxing and cute game.

Hi everyone, I'm in university and currently trying to learn Unity a bit more seriously than when I first installed it as a kid. - I have some basic programming knowledge, although not as much in regards to unity scripting specifically - I can more or less find my way around blender and throw something decent together, I'll be working on my skills shortly after I finish a few Unity Learn pathways I hope to one day be able to throw together a modestly sized 3D open-ish world game, either mostly by myself or with a few others. Interestingly enough I get tons of ideas for this, but have a very hard time coming up with ideas / mechanics for smaller things, which I'd like to make first in order to gather experience, get the ropes of making a game and whatnot.

Reply@FifthSolarLaurelHello people! I'm following the "Unity's creator community" tutorial and I wasn't sure if I should comment under the pinned post or create a new post, but creating a new post might bury someone's question so... - My time zone is CST. - My short term goal is to re-create the board game we play on family night and solve some inconveniences we have when we play. My long term goal is to make my own board game based of that project, polish it more, and release it in the play store. - One challenge I'll face is that I only know how to code; I don't know how to model or animate, much less sound design, but I hope I'll become a good generalist. - Some resources I'm going to use are the unity docs, the unity discord server, the unity asset store, and youtube tutorials from Brackeys and Code Monkey.
Awesome! I hope I can try your board game. We have a collection of offline ones with my bf. Our favorites are GMT games, U-Boot, Terraforming Mars, and just received Hegemony (kickstarter backed). Looking forward to try yours!

Reply@kingcobra1027Hi everyone! I'm Josh from the EST Zone. I am working towards a music engineering degree, with my long-term goal being to master sound design for film and games. Within the next four months, I would like to learn how to incorporate different sound effects and music into a short film. My biggest challenge is that I'm unfamiliar with programming, and I mainly have time to work on my projects on weekends. I have joined the Unity Discord and will review the Unity Documents and Youtube if I ever run into any trouble on my journey!
sounds awesome! Audio & music is my weakest point I think

Hi everyone! When I was a kid I loved playing video games. And as I played, I wanted more and more to create my own game. One day I met Flash MX in which I started trying to create difference things. After a while I was able to made my own gameprojects like streetracing, planetsystem, which I liked. But when I was finally able to do it, Flash MX was no longer modern. And I couldn't find something similar but modern. So I gave up creating games before I met Unity a few month ago. And in this I saw what I wanted for so long!) And now I want to start creating new projects again. Maybe I'll remake my old games with Unity. This time, I'll try to finish projects instead endless game development. But before I do all that, I am going to learn Unity as much as it needs to realize my ideas :)
