Spirited Out!
Spirited Out! Brief description of gameplay: The game is a demo version of a cooperative action game. Players joining forces will need to exorcise ghosts and demons. On the colorful level, representing the room of their newly acquired house, it is necessary to close all the portals, use the “spirit thread” to exorcise evil spirits, and coordinate their movements. USP 1: “Spirit Thread” A spirit thread, is created between two players when they are close enough to each other. And disappears when they move away from each other. At each “level”, it will be necessary to close a certain number of portals and exorcise all the spirits. USP 2: Controls The controls in the game are inspired by Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons. Thus, the gameplay will be fun for both single player and two players. The controls are done on the keyboard, where players have access to the left and right sides of the keyboard. What's going on? A newlywed couple purchase their dream home with a mortgage. But when they arrive on the scene. Horrified to realize they've been tricked by an evil mortgage demon. The house is infested with the spirits of second homes, the realtor has fled in terror, and the mortgage rate is inexorably rising. To the rescue comes the spirit of “granny”, who teaches our heroes the secret technique of the “spirit thread.” Now the spouses are ready to confront their enemies, cleanse the house from the ghostly inhabitants and defeat the mortgage demon by lowering the mortgage rate. I probably didn't quite understand the assignment, but I did this project as part of the course. Back when we were asked to create a design document for our project. Then I was forced to put the whole project together in an emergency. I think it fits, but if you think it doesn't, I'll try to make the project that should exactly count. I applied all the concepts I learned in the course, as well as a number of my own developments. I hope you enjoy it. I have also improved several projects from the course: 1) The ball project is now ringed, gives and saves the best score, and the ball's flight is controlled through a microphone. 2) Boxes, now also counts when a player chops a bomb. This not only takes away lives, but also makes the camera shake like the effect of an explosion. Also, box spawning stops at this point, and all objects are destroyed.
