Overview
Summary
Using AR to overlay effects onto faces is very common in many social media apps today. From simple image touch ups to animated 3D heads, AR face tracking is what powers all of these app interactions. In this project, we'll learn how to use AR Foundations to use face tracking in iOS or Android.

REQUIREMENTS

  • An AR Foundation supported device
  • A USB cable to connect your device to your development machine
  • Unity 2019.4 (LTS) with Android or iOS Module Installed
  • AR Foundation 4.0.8 or later
  • AR Subsystems 4.0.8 or later
  • (*Android) ARCore XR Plugin 4.0.8
  • (*Android) Android SDK 7.0 (API Level 24) or later
  • (*iOS) ARKit Face Tracking 4.0.8 or later
  • (*iOS) ARKit XR Plugin 4.0.8 or later
Project Objective
  • Use AR Foundations in combination with ARCore or ARKit to track faces
  • Learn how to use AR Face Managers to enable AR Face Tracking
  • Build your own random image generator game on top of your head
