Game environment art requires skills from a range of disciplines and a careful balance of small-scale detail with big picture impact. This project shows you how to think and act like an environment artist. It teach you how to to iteratively incorporate many elements into a large scene instead of simply focusing on single items and throwing them into a scene. Topics that are covered include environment modeling concepts and fundamentals, understanding asset reuse, working with tiling textures, constructing a scene in Unity, and understanding modern game industry workflows.
Software Required: Unity and Maya.
