Parents and Kids Code Together

Learn to code with your kids the fun way in Parents and Kids Code Together, a free, live series that invites you to create a game in Unity alongside your children.

By the end of five sessions, you and your kids will have created a fun game and have the coding skills to:

• Create and apply C# scripts to GameObjects
• Create functions and apply to GameObjects
• Instantiate and Destroy GameObjects
• Understand variables and how to use them
• Use if statements to create branching logic
• Use Classes to organize code
• Explore common components to create object interactions

To maximize your experience, we recommend that at least one participant have some familiarity with coding or basic Unity scene navigation.

If you cannot attend one of the live sessions, or prefer to work at your own pace, everything you need to build this game can be found in tutorials 2-5. After each live session, we will post a recording of the session, as soon as they are available, in the first tutorial.
