Complete Driving Prototype: From Obstacles to Split-Screen Multiplayer
96 views
I successfully implemented all four bonus features from the tutorial roadmap: Easy (Obstacle Pyramids): Created stacks of obstacles with Rigidbodies for satisfying physics crashes. Medium (Oncoming Vehicles): Added AI traffic using transform.Translate that the player must dodge. Hard (Camera Switcher): Implemented a camera toggle system to switch between a third-person view and a driver's seat view. Expert (Local Multiplayer): Transformed the game into a 2-player split-screen experience. I configured the Input Manager for separate controls (WASD vs. Arrows) and adjusted the Viewport Rects to split the screen correctly. It was a challenge to debug the camera synchronization, but the split-screen multiplayer is now fully functional. Took me 1 day and a half or almost, but did it!

This took me almost 2 days to finish the debug! Debugging the split-screen cameras was really tough, but I'm so happy it's finally working. Hope you like the video with no errors on the code!
