In this tutorial, we’ll learn how to update content in an Addressables-based project. You will need a project that’s already built, as the update uses the addressable_content_state.bin file that’s created with a new project. And, before the project’s initial build, you’ll need to have enabled Build Remote Catalog in your Addressable Asset settings, as there’s no way for the Player to know about any content updates without a remote Content Catalog. Finally, you’ll need to have an active server to host the updated content. If your project is still in development, this can be the built-in HTTP hosting service that ships with Addressables. With these requirements met, you’re ready to proceed.
