We will use Maya to create a Normal Map and Ambient Occlusion Map from the ISS model's solar panel wings. We will build both maps and then apply them to a lower-resolution version of the wings to give the appearance of detail and shadow interactions between each panel, while improving scene performance due to the reduction in poly count.
