In this tutorial,we’ll go over the process of blocking out a game level using Unity's built-in modeling tools. It's fast, it's easily changeable, and it allows for creativity with little or no effect on development time. The tutorial will go over extracting the important design aspects from a game design document, using Unity's built-in modeling tools to gray-box a level, creating animated obstacles for a character's NavMesh, and using Unity's Polybrush tool to model some organic concept art. By the end of this tutorial, you'll be able to design a level that's not only fun to play, it adheres to the intent of the designer, and it makes creating the level manageable and schedulable.
