When Unity Creators launch the Unity Editor, they will be introduced to the Unity Home Screen. There are two tabs in the Home Screen - the Projects tab and the Learn tab. To begin, Unity Creators need to create a new Unity Project. A Unity Project is folder structure created and configured to house all of the assets necessary for the Unity Project. Unity will handle creating the initial folder structure to allow Unity Creators to get started quicker.
Launch the Unity Editor. In the Unity Home Screen, click the New icon in the upper-right corner of the Projects window.
Name the new Project and set the Project’s location to somewhere easy to remember, such as the Documents folder or the Desktop.
Ensure that the project type is set to either 3D or 2D and leave Enable Unity Analytics set to Off.
Click the “Create project” button in the lower right of the window (Figure 01).
