Video games are her passion, but she's always wanted to help people reach their full potential. As a graduate fresh out of NYU-Tandon’s Integrated Digital Media program, Krystel had the opportunity to bring video game design to an NYC public school.
She worked to create New York State’s first-ever Career and Technical Education [CTE] pathway in Video Game Design. She joked for a long time about how I was THE Game Teacher. It was a lot of pressure and all she wanted to do was bring her curriculum to as many schools and teachers as possible.
Realizing that wasn't possible as a public school teacher, she left the NYCDOE in 2020 to join the Urban Arts Partnership as a full-time Faculty member of the School of Interactive Arts!
