Overview
Summary
In this tutorial, we'll take a look at our game and level design documents to get an understanding of what should occur in the cutscene. We'll then discuss some key cinematic terms and practices so we'll have a base language to use as we develop our storyboards. As previously mentioned, Swords and Shovels has both a game design document and a level design document. A game design document is a repository for all information that defines the game while level design document goes into granular detail regarding all aspects of a level and would include everything from top-down maps, gameplay beats, and even notes on sound design. A level design document is often integrated into the game design document itself, although they can be separated out into their own documents as well.
