Welcome to Getting started with the Discord Social SDK for Unity! In this unit, you'll learn how to integrate the Discord Social SDK’s powerful social features directly into your Unity games, creating engaging experiences that keep players connected both in-game and on Discord. You'll use the Discord Social SDK to implement Discord account linking, a friends list, and Rich Presence.

Before you begin

Before you get started, you’ll need to have the following:

• Discord account: You'll need a Discord account in order to access the Discord Developer Portal. If you don't have one, create a Discord account at Discord.com.
• Unity 2021 or later: The Discord Social SDK supports Unity 2021 and later.
