Welcome to VR Beginner: The Escape Room! In this learning project, you’ll have the opportunity to explore and create basic VR interactions supported by the XR Interaction Toolkit package.

Virtual reality began to really take hold after 2010, when the technology required to make consumer-friendly devices became affordable. The adoption of VR technology has been slow but steady. Because it’s been less than a decade since the industry really took off, it’s fairly easy to trace key points in history leading to the release of the headsets themselves.

For those new to creating virtual reality in Unity, this project utilizes a popular free plugin called VRTK to create a "Jump Start Your Car Battery" app prototype that focuses on getting started quickly, with minimal or no development experience.

In this tutorial, you’ll set up a VR Menu in World space and configure it so users can interact with it accordingly. By the end, you will be able to set the color of a panel by pointing at a button and pulling the trigger on the handset.
